A 27-year-old male boxer presented with pain in the dorsum of right wrist and difficulty getting a firm grip on his hand for 2-month duration. On examination, he had swelling over dorsal aspect wrist. Physical examination revealed bony hard mass at junction third metacarpal capitate bones. The persisted despite conservative treatment patient was referred to our hospital further evaluation. Radiographs posteroanterior lateral views showed an accessory bone projecting from base metacarpal. evaluated multidetector computed tomography scan, which protuberance arising showing continuation parent bone. No osteophyte/fracture could be appreciated. magnetic resonance imaging, marrow edema noted overlying soft tissues. underwent boss excision. At present, is asymptomatic regular follow-up.
